An ideal bedroom. Part2.
At will you can finish bedroom walls with wood, cloth, veneer sheet or cork. Natural materials are distinguished by the characteristic structure and color, they do not have cheerless monotony and always look warm and lively, which is especially topical for creating comfort in the bedroom.
Partially the image of the bedroom is defined by color that dominates in its setting.
Blue or dark blue plunge you into the thoughts of coolness and sky space. Green tones are associated with spring, freshness, they favor relaxation, but their emotional restraint requires active support from warm colors. Beautiful combinations are made as a result of combining pale shades with rich, saturated color and light.
Yellow gamma is like sun rays, it warms and animates the room, but it is recommended that vast yellow surfaces are freshened with fragments of other saturated colors. It is better to soften orange by combining it with cool key of gray-blue or one can experiment with its pale shades. Red is considered “to cheer up”, but it is difficult to wake up in such a bedroom. It is better to use red colors as a light accent.
Violet is deep and expressive, especially in combination with mild yellow or green background. Ascetic black-and-white gamma is actively used in popular minimalist stylizations. But the best decision for bedroom is thought to be shades of white that remind of baked milk or soft gray that approaches the color of flax linen. Effective are combinations of light and dark, weak and saturated colors.

An ideal bedroom. Part1.
In special terminology bedroom is referred to as “the intimate space”, i.e. the place that is not intended for others’ glances. However, the bedroom in a modern apartment-studio can be only conditionally separated from other zones by light constructive elements: arches, columns, sliding partitions, screens, etc.
According to the tradition, bedroom is isolated and is placed in one of the far and noiseless parts of the apartment, but at will one can also arrange here a workplace that won’t allow the premises to “stand idle” in the daytime, or the drawing-room.
In the apartment with high ceilings one can make the entresol and place the bed on the second level. As a result, there will appear some additional space for arranging workplace or cloakroom. (By the way, the place to store clothes is one of the main elements of bedroom. Even if it is possible to arrange a separate cloakroom, it would better place it adjacent to the bedroom. A small cloakroom can be separated from the bedroom by the rigid, but light mobile partitions that are commonly used for organizing of fitted cupboards).
One of the original decisions is the podium-case. For this the dais is built in the room and the bed is mounted inside of it. Boxes for bedclothes are placed on the sides. In the case of need the bed easy moves out on rollers.
The podium area can be used as cabinet (the workplace), library, etc. Such planning of the room empties space for area of recreation (drawing-room).
Not less original is the bedroom in the “Eastern” style.
In this case the bed is replaced by the mattress, which, with a help of the carpet, is transferred into the couch with many pillows, when it is necessary to transfer the room into the drawing-room.

An essential guide to planning and maintaining your bathroom
Cleaning:
There are many so called suitable bathroom cleaners on the market today. In our experience the best by far is good old soap and water. Simply wash down your various fittings after use with warm soapy water, and polish dry with a soft dry cloth where applicable. Naturally vitreous china is totally impervious to bleaches and other acidic based cleaners and can be safely cleansed accordingly, but more care and attention must be taken when cleaning Cast Iron Baths, Gold or Chrome plated items such as taps and accessories.
Future Access:
Part of your planning process for your new bathroom should encompass sensible thought and allowance for future access to the various plumbing fittings. It is advisable to always allow a suitable access point to make exchange of a plumbing fitting a fairly straight forward process in the future if necessary.
The Power Shower:
Always make sure that the cubicle or over bath screen that you are purchasing is suitable for use with a ëpower showerí. The effect created by a shower supported by a pump, can in some instances be pushed open by the force of a power shower. Of course if you are purchasing both items you can be assured that you shall be advise if your choice is a suitable compliment.

Below are some tips and advise when considering buying a bathroom suite or adding accessories.
POTTERY:
Also known as sanitary ware, ceramics, porcelain and ware.
There are four basic areas that affect the quality of pottery and its expected lifespan:
The depth of the glaze:
The glaze is the glass-like surface coating which is fired onto the pottery in the kiln when it is made.
The glass enables the pot to be waterproof and protects it from chemicals, such as bleach etc, over its life.
The thicker the glaze generally the longer the life. Once this glaze goes, wears out, the pot becomes porous, absorbs water and eventually cracks.
The more you use and clean the pottery the faster the glaze wears out.
To make the glaze thicker you have to apply it a layer at a time and each time fire it in the kiln. This process results in breakages within the kiln.
For example, if I fire 100 pieces of pot once I may get 99 back in one piece, so the 99 pays for the 100.
If I then fire the 99 again I may get 80 back in one piece, so now 80 have to pay for 100.
If I then fire the 80 I may get only 50 back in one piece, so now 50 have to pay for 100. You get the gist of this by now.
If you assume that each layer of glaze lasts approximately 5 to 7 years you can soon see how the system works.
If you glaze once you get a less expensive cost to manufacture but the product does not last as long in a house. The thicker the glaze the longer the pottery lasts.

Aluminum Sliding Glass Door Removal
Last week I explained how to measure your existing sliding glass door so you can order the vinyl replacement door. This week I am going to go over the steps required to remove the old sliding door before installing the new door.
First, you have to remove the sliding panel and the stationary panel. The vast majority of doors out there have the sliding panel on the inside half of the track, and the stationary panel is on the outside. Whatever the case in your particular door, the outside panel has to come out first. To remove the fixed panel, you need to remove the sill cap that snaps into the bottom track and runs from the fixed panel to the side jamb where the sliding panel locks. Force a screwdriver into the crease and pry the cap up. Then, look for screws on the inside side jamb holding the fixed panel in place. These screws prevent someone from prying up the sill cap and pulling out the fixed panel in order to gain entry into the home. In addition to the side jamb, be sure to check across the top header and bottom track for screws there as well. Once all the screws have been removed, you need to pull the fixed panel away from the side jamb. You can start by simply grabbing the side rail of the fixed panel and pulling as hard as you can. If you’re lucky, the panel will pop free. Then you can lift the panel up as far as it will go into the top channel and swing the bottom away from the track, and remove the panel. Now, I said “if you’re lucky”, because in most cases the panel will be stuck in the side jamb, the bottom track, or both. Usually, you’re going to have to use a pry bar to loosen the fixed panel before it will slide out of the side jamb. Once the fixed panel is out, removal of the sliding panel is usually easier. Just lift up and swing the bottom away from the track, then remove the panel. Sometimes the bottom rollers will prevent the bottom from swinging out of the track. If that’s the case, you will need to find the roller adjustment hole in the bottom corners of the sliding panel. Put a screwdriver into this hole and turn the screw counterclockwise to bring the roller as far up into the bottom of the sliding panel as possible. This should allow the slider to come out.
